I was reading the Tao of Pooh last weekend. It was explaining the concept of Wu Wei. And it struck me that I was trying too hard at jazz piano and it certainly wasn’t wu wei. You see, I have been trying to learn and pass London College of Music’s jazz piano exams. However, some other “things” keep turning up and I almost certainly never manage to spend time on it despite my best intentions.
Maybe I should park LCM’s jazz piano for now and should the water flow in that direction again, I will be there when it happens.
